Early life
Born to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan in Kerala, the Tamil Iyer actress got her early education from Church Park School and pursued her higher education in Ethiraj College, Chennai. Later, she modelled and won Miss Salem in 1999, Miss Chennai in 1999 and Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile in 2001. In school, she participated in several cultural activities, sports and school band. Trisha is said to be a good ballet dancer. She studied in the same school as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha.

- Trisha replaced Sonia Agarwal in the Telugu film, Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule opposite Venkatesh.[6]
- She was roped in to play heroine in Vallavan opposite Simbhu, but opted out due to her character in the film being extremely glamorous. She was subsequently replaced with Nayanthara.
- Dropped out of Vikram's Majaa at the last moment due to date problems. She was later replaced by Asin.
- She was roped to play the female lead in Don opposite Nagarjuna but Trisha opted out because she was unable to give immediate dates due to her prior commitments. The role finally went to Mamta Mohandas. [7]
- Was approached to do the role of Simran in S.J. Suryah's New and S. Shankar's Anniyan.

- She has acted with many popular actors including Vijay, R. Madhavan, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Jayam Ravi, Srikanth, Surya, Vikram, Siddharth, Silambarasan and Shaam.
